A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum, diamond and

A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum, diamond and gem-set butterfly brooch. The brilliant-cut diamond body and eyes, with angular antennae, to the scattered similarly-cut diamond, oval coral disc and vari-shape onyx wings highlighted by a circular turquoise cabochon border. Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts. French assay marks. Length 7.7cms. Weight 25gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good. Some surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
Should be a double pin brooch fitting, one of the pins is deficient.
Stamped Depose, SSM to the pin hinge.
Diamonds bright and well matched.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Very few, minor inclusions visible under 10x.
Coral untested for natural colour origin.
Coral is a slightly mottled pinky orange hue. Few scratches.
Turquoise are a medium light blue through medium deep green. Slight matrix visible to some. Few surface indents.
