A mid 20th century 18ct gold floral carved sapphire and brilliant-cut diamond brooch.Estimated total diamond weight 3.75cts, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity. Length 4cms. 10.9gms.
Condition Report: General light marks and wear. Some wear to the white metal plating. Two larger diamonds estimated weights 0.50ct and 0.40ct respectively, H-I colour, VS1-SI1 clarity. Diamonds appear bright. Sapphires slightly varied in hue and saturation. Sapphires in good condition, with minor abrasions. Metal tests as approximately 18ct gold. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
