A mid 20th century gold A-Type Imperial jade cabochon ring. With report 15733, dated 15th May 2018, from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, stating Imperial (chromium-bearing) jadeite jade, no treatment, 22-23 by 15.7 by 5.1mms. Ring size M. 5.4gms.

Condition Report:
- Overall condition good.
- Wear to the gilt finish.
- Please see report for details of the jade.
- Jade appears a mottled light to medium green hue, varied transluscence.
- Minor abrasions to cabochon.
- Cabochon is slightly loose within the mount, appears secure.
- Stamped 18k. Electronically tests as 9-12ct gold.
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
