Angelus, Switzerland, a mid 20th century Angelus "Big Eyes" wrist chronograph, 17 jewels, manual winding, rhodium plated movement with lever escapement in a round, 18 karat yellow gold case with stepped lugs and leather strap, arabic numeral, double sunk silver dial with 45 minute register at 3:00, constant seconds at 9:00, and gold leaf hands, serial #61445, 35.5mm
Condition Report: CASE: Bezel with shallow dent; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Back with fine scratches and shallow dent; Case knife marks; 5:00 lug bent downward; Crown and pushers with wear and losses to gilding; Acrylic crystal; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Minor marks and scratches at edge, 8 - 11:00; Minor corrosion at the edges of some numerals. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Balance cock with fine scratch; Plates with some darkening and discoloration; Some steel components with very fine scratches; Ratchet wheel with very fine scratches and speck of oxide; A few screw heads with marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION: Functions properly, circa 1945
