A mid 20th century platinum and 18ct gold black opal and brilliant-cut diamond cluster ring.Opal estimated dimensions 17.1 by 10.4 by 3.5mms.Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct.Ring size L1/2. 7.7gms.
Condition Report: Scratches and small marks.Diamonds vary noticeably in colour, estimated VS-P1 clarity.Opal displays good play of colour, in predominantly green and blue hues, across the top surface of the opal.Minor matrix visible to the reverse.Length of ring head 2.2cms.Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
