A mid-twentieth century silver mounted syphon or bottle stand, the plain cylindrical form with fruiting vine relief border above twin scroll handles, the stepped skirted base fitted with wood coaster. Hallmarked Roberts & Belk Ltd., Sheffield 1958. Height measuring 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm). Appears in fairly good overall condition. Displaying some general tarnishing and some expected surface wear, marks and scratches. A coupe of minor dints around the base rim. The relief border appears in good order with some light surface rubbing. Residues of polish. Likely replacement baize to underside. Clearly legible hallmarks located below rim. Also with maker's lamp mark to base rim.
