A mid Victorian gold emerald and split pearl three-stone ring. Emerald calculated weight 0.60ct, based on estimated dimensions of 5.7 by 5 by 3.4mms. Ring size J. 1.9gms.
Condition Report: General marks, discolouration and wear. Band beyond engraving is replacement, visible change to gold tone and small amount of pitting to solder joins. Ones split pearl likely replacement. Claws with moderate wear, may benefit from attention. Tear to metal surround of emerald, small amount of metal deficient. Band may have been resized, dark discolouration and small amount of pitting to inside of band.
Emerald is a light slightly bluish green hue, fairly well saturated with fairly good clarity.
Emerald with moderate abrasion to facet edges, nibbles focused to one particular corner of crown.
Split pearl replacement in good condition, one split pearl with moderate wear to layers of nacre.
