A mid-Victorian silver sugar basket modelled as a pail, the tapered form with gadroon rim above vertical pierced sides with floral and fruiting swag detail, with rope-twist swing handle and a frosted glass liner. Hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons, Sheffield 1858. Height to rim 3.75" (9.5cm), gross silver weight 7.58 ozt (235.6 grams).

Condition Report:
- Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general expected surface scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Seam line visible.
- Swing handle in good order and self-supports.
- Hallmarks located just below the rim, these are clear and legible.
- Glass liner a good fit and appears in good condition. Possibly not the original.
