A mid-Victorian small silver salver.

A mid-Victorian small silver salver, the raised shell and scroll border enclosing an engraved arabesque band and central bird crest with motto below, and raised on three claw and ball feet. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co, Sheffield 1861. Maximum diameter 8.5" (21.5cm), weight 9.95 ozt (309.5 grams).

Condition Report:
- Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Surface wear and rubbing to areas of the engraved decoration and crest, causing loss of detail to some areas.
- On the underside, there are a few shallow dints in one area, near to the hallmarks.
- Stands firm on its feet.
- Hallmarks located to the underside, a little rubbed but still clearly legible.
