A middle eastern yellow metal pendant and chain, the oval lantern-shaped pendant in Byzantine style decorated with burr-beads, wirework and a tassel drop and set with four 8mm diameter round cabochon aventurines, stamped '18K', approx. 60mm high overall, approx. 12.5g gross; together with a filed-oval belcher fancy link necklace, with an indistinct mark probably '18k(?)' These two items have been XRF spot tested as approximately 75% gold. We used a Nitron Thermo XL3T handheld XRF analyser to test the metal in this lot. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Results should only be used as a guide and with caution. False readings are possible as only a small 'spot' has been tested and not the whole item.
