A military wheellock pistol, Suhl, circa 1630/40
Octagonal to round barrel with smooth bore in 14 mm calibre. Proof mark "SVL" and barrel maker's mark struck on the left side of the breech. Lock with slightly domed plate and external wheel. Mechanism defect, wheel does not catch. Smooth walnut forend with smooth iron furniture. The bottom of the stock incised with the mark "III". Original wooden ramrod with iron tip. Length 54.5 cm.
