A miquelet pistol by Ignazio Maria Ybarzabal in Eibar, circa 1790
Description: Octagonal to round barrel with cannon muzzle, chiselled and gilt baluster, smooth bore in calibre 17 mm. On top of chamber gold-inlaid maker's mark and silver inlaid tendrils. The miquelet lock with a nicely chiselled cock. Beautifully grained stock with engraved iron fittings. The trigger guard gilded with another gold-inlaid mark. Wooden ramrod with brass tip. Length 29 cm.
