A miscellaneous group of antiquities Circa 7th Century B.C. – 2nd Century A.D. and Later A Cypriot Iron Age fragmentary horseman figure with beak-like facial features and applied fillet, circa 650-400 B.C.; A Hellenistic phalera moulded with the head of Medusa, small traces of pink pigment remain, circa 4th Century B.C., 6.8cm high; a small Hellenistic applique mask of a youth, circa 4th Century B.C., 4.5cm high; a fragmentary Hellenistic terracotta relief bust of Athena, circa 3rd Century B.C., 14.3cm high, a partially preserved old label on the back of the marble plaque mount, the remaining words ‘Hellenistic, Guaranteed, B.C.300, Jermyn Street, S.W.1.’, a worn label remaining on the underside of the base; a Roman pale green glass bottle, with folded in-turned lip, circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.,6.5cm high and a fragmentary Mycenaean style goddess figure (6) Provenance: The Estate of costume designer Anthony Powell (1935-2021)
