A mixed group of Chinese, Japanese and European pictures, 19th - 20th centuries, comprising: two hand-coloured engravings printed for and sold by Robert Sayer of Fleet Street, titled 'A Pleasure House on the Water, where Ladies of the Imperial Court in China amuse themselves with fishing' and 'The Summer House of a Mandarin with an Artificial Causway [sic] over a large piece of Water', both held in later glazed frames, each 17.3 x 27.7cm; two book plates both depicting a Chinese banquet, one titled 'Festin dans la Salle d'Auidence', 21 x 15.5cm, the other titled 'Banquet in the best Audience Hall', 15.5cm x 21cm, both held in later glazed frames; an illustration of Japanese townspeople smoking in an interior, inscribed H. Vernet to top right, 17.7 x 26.2cm; a Japanese ukiyo-e print, held in a glazed frame, 24.8 x 35.7cm; and a group of Chinese scrolls, to include a scroll painting depicting a bird of prey perched on a tree branch with another bird in its talons, the image 38 x 55cm, together with two calligraphy scrolls and four scroll ends (13)
