A modern Wunderkammer As a mystical ideal, the Satyr is a personified symbol of nature's fertility and life force. Quartz has been known since ancient times as one of the purest minerals and its transparency has made the most disparate stories grow around it, one of them being ice petrified by the gods that it was impossible to melt. This bronze sculpture, created in the early 1900s, represents a naked satyr posing with a cup and several points in first choice quartz.
