A modern silver model of a Saxon drinking horn, commemorating 1000 years of English Monarchy, Edgar to Elizabeth II A.D. 973-1973, in case of issue with certificate of authenticity and numbered A.D. 1380. Hallmarked Albert Edward Jones, Birmingham 1973. Height 6" (15.2cm), weight 16.47 ozt (512.4 grams).
Condition Report:
- Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general light surface wear, scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Visible seam lines.
- 'A.D. 1380' also incised to body of horn, on the underside.
- Hallmarks located just below rim and are clear and legible.
- Box and certificate in general good order. Some spotting and discolouration to the material lining on reverse of lid.
