A modern silver marrow scoop, of typical double-ended form, hallmarked Francis Howard Ltd., Sheffield 1997, length measuring 8 5/8 inches (21.9 cm). Together with a cased set of six silver coffee spoons and a pair of sugar tongs, each of Trefid pattern with rat-tail to the bowls, hallmarked Martin Hall & Co Ltd., Sheffield 1924, plus a further 1940's cased set of six silver coffee spoons and a pair of sugar tongs, hallmarked Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1940, one spoon dated 1939. Gross weight 6 ozt (187.9 grams). In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor sticky residue to the back of the marrow scoop. Minor scuffs and marks to the fitted cases. Hallmarks clear and legible.
