A natural pearl, diamond and gem-set butterfly brooch.

A natural pearl, diamond and gem-set butterfly brooch. The grey baroque pearl body, with red gem eyes, to the vari-cut diamond, sapphire and red gem openwork wings. Verbal from GCS stating natural, saltwater pearl (very hollow). Estimated total diamond weight 1.80cts. Length 7.2cms. Weight 21.8gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Some probable replacement gems, few slightly ill-fitting to the mounts. Few with glue visible.
Diamonds fairly well matched. A mix of old, single and rose-cuts.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Diamonds with moderate, varied inclusions.
Sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue.
The red gems appear to be a mix of synthetic ruby and garnet-topped-doublet or other paste. The cabochons apepar to be black glass.
Pearl is a light grey hue, good lustre. Pearl has holes to the reverse, with cement-like glue visible.
