A navy cadet's dagger

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Straight, double-edged blade, ribbed in the center. Brass hilt. Quillon with straight quillons with masks in relief at the ends; quillon block with crossed anchors. Grip with mother-of-pearl grip scales. Ring-nut with palmettes and lateral bands with flowers, pommel with acanthus leaves. Brass scabbard, engraved with floral motifs and with anchor on the front part. Two lugs. length 24,3 cm.
