A near pair of English delft chargers, possibly Lambeth, 18th century, each decorated with chinoiserie scenes of pagodas each under a tree with fern-like foliage, surrounded by a border of trellis and graffito designs, the rim with three mounds from which ferns grow, interspaced with flowering plants, and surrounded with a wavy line, the undersides unmarked, 34cm and 34.7cm diameter (2)
Some losses and chips to the rim, consistent with age. Some areas of pitting to the well and underside, and crazing across one plate. Otherwise generally in good condition.
