A near pair of Henri Ardant Limoges porcelain vases
Mid/late 19th century
One with pastile to underside: H A & Co. / 434; the other missing pastile offset mark impressed
Each baluster-form porcelain vase with openwork handles, gilt accents, and hand-painted Classical frieze to one side of the body, the neck featuring two opposed plaques with avian and foliate motifs, 2 pieces
Each: 16.25" H x 10.125" W x 6.5" D
Condition Report: Each overall good condition with shelf wear, scattered minor scuffs, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. Each with some rubbed wear to the gilt accents. Dust accumulation and minor soiling to interiors. Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Though buyers are not legally required to inspect lots prior to purchase, failure to do so may constitute a waiver of complaint that an item was not delivered in a condition equal to the existent condition at the auction.
