A nice Egyptian wooden figure, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 - 1690 BC, from a model depicting a scene from everyday life, the male figure is seated, wearing a long kilt with lovely facial detail and a short wig. Well-preserved with much of the original pigments preserved beneath light mineral deposits. Scarcer with arms. H: 5 1/2 in (14 cm). On wood base. Ex New Jersey private estate.
