A nice La Tene iron sword with scabbard, Central Europe

A very nice La Tene iron sword with scabbard, Central Europe, c. 1st Century BC - 1st Century AD, a fantastic example, the scabbard also fashioned of iron and adorned with rolled iron strip and bordered by grooves, the backside with wide vertical belt loop. The sword is fused within the scabbard with U-shaped hilt and long solid tang with square profile and knob pommel. L: 42 1/2 in (107.7 cm). Remarkably preserved with stable oxide patina.
