A nice blue glazed Egyptian 'Reis' or overseer ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, wearing short wig and kilt from everyday life. His left arm is held against the chest the left pendant at side. H: 3 5/8 in (9.3 cm). Well-preserved with very nice light blue glaze. Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent.
