A nineteenth century Indian colonial quaich, of typical plain form. Marked SIL 52 alongside a maker's mark for Peter Nicholas Orr (Madras c. 1851-1860). Width measuring 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm), weight 2.3 ozt (71.5 grams). In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Marks clear and legible.
