resting on spreading foot moulded with a frieze of acanthus leaves on a matted ground, the stepped base underlined by a frieze of laurel leaves and berries, the base of the stem engraved with 12 matted panels, the baluster body decorated with gadroons, frieze of laurel leaves and garlands of fruit on a matted ground surrounding a relief frieze decorated with putti and cherubs accompanied by birds, grapes, butterflies, some mowing wheat with a sickle, others playing the syrinx, the handles shaped as harpies, the gadrooned neck with two flares, gilt inside

In oveall very good condition. Both footrims stamped with Russian import marks, one also stamped with another mark, a bear within a lozenge. Good weight, impressive size, very good quality.
