A pair of Chinese lacquered and gilt wood figures 19th century or earlier. Probably depicting attendants in Hell, both with bright red skin, each with a placard raised in one hand, one inscribed "You Qiu Bi Ying" (which may be translated as "Unable to say no to seekers of help", the other indistinct (2).
