Provenance: From Mr. Chang, a Chinese-American antiques dealer with 60 years of experience in the field. Mr. Chang began his journey into the world of antiques under the guidance of his mentors in the early 1960s. During this period, Mr. Chang acquired the necessary skills to identify, appreciate, and manage antiques, while gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. Over the years, Mr. Chang has traveled across the United States, searching for unique and precious antique collections. 'Yongqing Changchun' is an auspicious seal mark used exclusively for imperial porcelain produced in the late Qing dynasty for the Empress Dowager. This type of porcelain features styles and patterns that catered to the personal aesthetic taste of Empress Dowager Cixi, often adorned with beautiful paintings of various birds and flowers. This piece exudes an elegant temperament and a tranquil aura, with exquisite painting and coloring techniques that were unrivaled at the time. The base of each piece is inscribed with the 'Yongqing Changchun' seal mark, and sometimes with the mark of 'Dayazhai' on the body.
This pair of jars are decorated with a ring of fretwork patterns around the rim atop a yellow ground and fully painted in fencai with chrysanthemum motifs. The base is inscribed in iron-red with the four-character seal mark 'Yongqing Changchun’. The jars are well preserved, and their appearance as a pair is particularly rare.

“永慶長春”爲清慈禧太後禦瓷特有吉語款，此類瓷器樣製、紋飾帶有慈禧太後個人喜好色彩，多繪各式靈禽花卉，氣質雋雅，意境清新，繪畫施彩之精，獨步一時。底有永慶長春4個字，亦落有大雅齋款字。
本件拍品口沿飾回紋，器物以黃色爲底，粉彩滿繪菊花紋，底部冩有礬紅“永慶長春”四字楷書款。整體保存完好，成對出現尤爲難得。
