A pair of Egyptian amulets, Late Period
A pair of Egyptian amulets, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, the first is a rather rare Egyptian faience amulet of Bastet, clutching a staff to her chest, (H: 3 cm), losses to her feet and base. The second is a double-sided Wedjat, or Eye of Horus amulet with longitudinal hole for suspension and nice light blue glaze. (28 x 23mm). Ex Southern California private collection; the Bastet is formerly of the collection of Ernest Freemark acquired in the 1960's.
