A pair of Egyptian faience ushabtis
A pair of Egyptian faience ushabtis, 3rd Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC, the first a ‘reis’ or overseer type wearing kilt of everyday life, nice light blue glaze with details and inscription in black, H: 3 3/8 in (8.5 cm). The second is another bicolor type wearing seshed headband and with hieroglyphic inscription down the front of the legs, H: 3 ½ in (8.9 cm). Both with light mineral deposits. Ex New Jersey private estate.
