A pair of Egyptian frog lamps, Roman Egypt, 3rd - 4th Century AD, both with stylized frog devices on the top, one actually depicting the head and front legs of the amphibian which gives this type of lamp their name. L: 3 in (7.6 cm) & 3 1/8 in (7.9 cm). Both well-preserved with mineral and carbon deposits. Ex Southern California private collection.
