A pair of Egyptian obsidian Eye of Horus amulets
A pair of Egyptian obsidian Eye of Horus amulets, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, well-formed with remnant of resins from the wrappings of a mummy. 16 x 15 mm and 17 x 14 mm. Ex Boston Museum of Fine Arts, de-accession; previously in the collection of Horace L. Mayer who loaned and gifted items to the museum throughout the 1930's-60's. After his passing much of his remaining collection was gifted to the museum.
