A pair of Egyptian steatite scarabs
A pair of Egyptian steatite scarabs, the first is a later New Kingdom scarab, c. 1200 - 1075 BC, with amuletic cartouche of Thutmose III with Djed pillar and crowns, 19 x 13 mm, the second is a weathered example from the 2nd Intermediate Period, c. 1750 - 1570 BC, with a hieroglyphic inscription within a scroll border, missing the upper body. 20 x 16.5 mm. Ex Southern California private collection.
