[ translate ]

A pair of Empire-style figural candelabra
Late 19th century
Each appears unmarked
The seven-light patinated and gilt-bronze candelabra with Classical figure standards, one of a female and one male, each figure holding a horn issuing six acanthus scrolled arms terminating in urn-form bobeches centering a seventh bobeche with removable flame finial, all set on an urn-form base with three paw feet above an architectural gilt metal base, 2 pieces
Each: 30.75" H x 11.5" Dia. approximately
Condition Report: Each overall good condition with scuffs and darkening/oxidation to bronze commensurate with age. One loose with separation at the torso of the female figure where the two halves are mounted by a screw. The other with arms loose from their mounting with a few other arms and bobeches slightly askew. Scattered rubbed wear to the gilding. Wax residue to bobeches. Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Though buyers are not legally required to inspect lots prior to purchase, failure to do so may constitute a waiver of complaint that an item was not delivered in a condition equal to the existent condition at the auction.
