A pair of Genoese cream and polychrome painted chairs, circa 1770, decorated with foliage, tulips and other flowers, each shaped and moulded back centred by a vase splat, each drop in seat above tapering cabriole legs and an H-shaped stretcher

Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. Some old repairs. No apparent splicing to legs The painted surface appears original throughout. There are various chips and additional wear causing loss to the painted surface and gilt and some other losses. Very little sign of old worm damage. The seats have been later re-covered and one in particular bears noticeable wear, damage and loss (see image) The chairs are of solid structure.
