A pair of George III mahogany side tables, circa 1790
A pair of George III mahogany side tables, circa 1790, each rectangular top above a frieze drawer, on rectangular tapering legs, each 74cm high, 40.5cm wide, 33cm deep
Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Some wear, this has caused some 'rounding' of the rear corners of the tops. Rear friezes also with original veneer and finish, a good sign of quality and can be freestanding in a room if required. Drawer interiors with some staining. No breaks or repairs or splicing to legs. No other noticeable repairs throughout. Handles appear original. Tops appear sympathetically re-polished. The remainder in particular with very good depth of colour and patina, and original surface throughout. ebonised stringing to the edges of the drawer fronts is a nice feature. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
