circular form, fluted decoration, gadroon borders, turned wooden bases the centre with buttons engraved with the regimental badge, diameter 17cm. (2)
Provenance: a Private Collection of Regimental Silver.
After the end of the Napoleonic wars, the 9th Regiment of Foot returned to England in 1818. These coasters would have been acquired for the Mess prior to departure for the East Indies in 1819.
