A pair of George III silver tureens
Oval bombé form vessel resting on four claw-and-ball feet. Decorated with scrolls and flowering sprigs, engraved on either side with the coat-of-arms of Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey (1768 – 1854) alonside the motto "PER IL SUO CONTRARIO". The domed lid with scrollwork and a pomegranate finial, the inside with an old collection label of "COLLEZIONE FARAONE". H 22.5; W 40; D 19.5 cm, weight 2,071 and 2,073 g.
