A pair of Graeco-Roman ceramic vessels
A pair of Graeco-Roman ceramic vessels. The first is an Iron Age jar, c. 1000 - 800 BC, the body round with raised disk base, the rim lightly flared, traces of red slip. H: 4 ½ in (11.7 cm). The second is a Greek wide-mouthed jar, c. 3rd - 2nd Century BC, thrown in a creme colored clay with narrow foot and single handle, the upper two-thirds of the vessel dipped in black slip. H: 5 in (12.7 cm). Ex Orange County private collection.
