[ translate ]

the upper section with later mirrored backs behind two shelves and topped with a three-quarter pierced gallery, the top with canted corners and both inlaid and bordered with brass, the two frieze drawers decorated with brass inlay and centred by a mask, the two panel doors enclosing one fixed shelf, the corners with additional brass mounts of masks and leaves, on paw feet to the front and turned toupie feet at the rear

147cm high, 112cm wide, 46cm deep

Condition Report:
Typical examples of the brass-inlaid style popular during the Regency. The tops are not attached, though holes to their bases and the top of the cabinet suggest that they may have been previously. Some patch replacements to the veneers, and the wooden surfaces generally with old marks and scratches. One toupie foot with a replacement to a chip. The mirror plates with some foxing throughout and losses to silvering. The brass generally sits flush.

With three keys: one larger key fits the panel door and left drawer of one example, while the smaller fits the panel door of the other example. The third key appears not to fit any of the locks. The right drawer of the first example is locked or jammed shut.
