Bill Ward's illustrations appear in Meyer's autobiography, A Clean Breast! The Life and Loves of Russ Meyer (Hollywood: Hauck Publishing Company, 2000). They represent the women with whom Meyer had dalliances and are known as "Bustoons." According to Meyer, one of his jealous wives destroyed the real photographs he had taken of these previous amours.
