A pair of Victorian diamond set leaf and pear cut diamond drop earrings, c.1870,
each earring comprised of an arched leaf top, grain set with graduated old European cut, old Swiss cut, cushion shaped and rose cut diamonds, to a small rose cut diamond set hoop below. A pear cut diamond, claw set to a frame of cushion shaped diamonds, with an outer, articulated pear shaped frame, similarly set, suspended below a diamond set leaf surmount. All set in silver and backed in gold. Tested as approximately silver and 9ct gold. Later post and butterfly fittings. A later case by Tessiers Ltd. London. 45mm long, 9.94g (2)
