A pair of bronze handwarmers (teaburi). Late 19th century
The splayed foot supporting a globular body with two chrysanthemum-shape handles with loose rings, the outside displaying chrysanthemums and birds amidst leafy foliage in relief, the same decoration in openwork on the domed lid, the foot with a frieze of lancet shapes. Cast signature at the base reading Hasegawa Settsu Daijo Tokuyuki saku.
