Vintage pair of wine coasters Maker: Adrian Gerald Benney CBE. Made in England, London, 1971 Fully hallmarked. Adrian Gerald Benney was one of the most outstanding and influential British goldsmiths of the second half of the 20th century. During a career spanning more than 50 years, he was the first British craftsman to hold four Royal Warrants simultaneously. His work has had a major impact on the survival of domestic silver in Britain. He was influenced by modern Scandinavian design and in particular Georg Jensen.
