A pair of early George III silver table spoons, each in Hanoverian pattern with initial engraved terminal and a long drop to heel, hallmarked London 1767, maker's mark distorted, probably B.B. Together with two George III Old English pattern table spoons, hallmarks for Richard Crossley, London 1783 and George Smith (III) & William Fearn, London 1791, and a similar early George IV example, hallmarked London 1820 with maker's mark WE. Weight 10 ozt (311.8 grams).
Condition Report:
- All in a fairly tired and worn condition, displaying general surface wear, marks and scratches in keeping with the age and use.
- Some heavy tarnishing and all would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Bowls displaying some heavier wear with some deeper scratches and dints and bumps to the surface and also metal appearing thinner towards the edges and tips.
- Hallmarks mostly legible, some distortion, particularly to the marks of the Hanoverian spoons.
