A pair of huanghuali high back armchairs on four rounded legs with stepped stretchers and footrest, curved arms with curved side posts and a curved top rail and back with two rootwood panels, at the front a beaded apron and apron head spandrel, the soft cane seat of wickerwork. A strecher beneath one of the seats with an inscription in ink: Shangyang Huang Dacheng und eryue nian san ... , referring to a workshop in Shangyang. Several replacements.18th/19th century. (2)
