Qing dynasty, 19th century, apocryphal Chenghua marks
The tall oviform vessels potted with wide mouths, covered overall in a thick, widely crackled, greyish glaze, the rims and feet covered in brown slip, the shoulders applied with paired handles in the shape of gnarled, blossoming prunus branches, the incised four-character marks within brown slip squares set to the centre of the finely-crackled-glazed bases, 45.5cm high (2).
