Condition Report:
The cover of the first jar is broken and restored . The jar itself is in good condition with only some small holes pierced around the rim (meant eventually to attach the cover) and a couple of faint crackles in the glaze to the interior of the jar. The gold enamels on the exterior are typically rubbed in areas, predominantly to the shoulder and around the base.
The cover of the second jar is also restored, there is more noticeably a restored radiant chip at the rim and respray on top around the knob. The jar itself is otherwise also in good condition, with only small drilled holes around the rim. The gold enamelled decoration is typically lightly rubbed in areas but overall have been well preserved and somewhat better than on the first jar.
The jars are otherwise of a good large size and good examples of their type.
