A pair of late 18th/early 19th century Meissen Marcolini period porcelain dishes, of shaped oval form, the centers decorated a young man with a cow, a goat and sheep, with his pair a young lady with a cow and two sheep, within a border decorated floral sprays and in gilt, crossed swords marks and asterisk in underglaze blue and numbered 4
Provenance; originally part of an extensive dinner service of some 160 pieces, which has been divided up by the family over the generations
