A pair of mid Victorian gold earrings. Each designed as a snake-link tassel, suspended from a cannetille accent hinged sphere, to the foliate motif chevron spacer and bead surmount. Victorian registration mark for 1867. Length 6.6cms. Weight 8.2gms. With case. Purchasing information Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Two large file marks extending across the reverse triangular-shape panel. Two drill holes to underside of the sphere. Some signs of repair / alteration, soft solder and pitting marks visible to surmount. Kite mark for 7th September 1867. With fixed hooks for pierced ears.
